Where We Serve

At iServe Ministries, we are serving our communities in Jackson and Madison Counties.  Located just north of Athens in the Piedmont Region of the Georgia, Jackson County is home to 60,571 residents, and Madison County has a population of 27,922.

Help is needed!
In Jackson County, there are 8,900 people living under the food insecurity rate;  4,400 of those are children.
In neighboring Madison County there are 4,130 people living under the food insecurity rate; 1,890 of those are children.

The USDA describes food security as having "access by all people at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life."  In our local communities, over 13,000 people do not have enough food to live a healthy active life.  For many of these families, they often face the "need to make trade-offs between important basic needs, such as housing or medical bills, and purchasing nutritionally adequate foods," according to Feeding America.
Through our Bags of Love program, we feed around 250 families in Jackson and Madison Counties every week during the school year.  Each backpack contains food for 24 meals and snacks, enough to feed a family of 4 for two days.

Twice a month, we offer our Feeding Jackson County  and Feeding Commerce/Banks Mobile Food Pantries, which can feed up to 500 families with 10-12 days' worth of food.  Families are given an over-flowing grocery cart full of fresh produce, meat, and canned and boxed goods.  This helps provide a little extra security for those people struggling to supply their families with the basic needs.
